Smart laser control for movable laser systems from LAP. Portable, intuitive, smart – CARINAnav CARINAnav is the control system for the DORADO and DORADOnova laser. It is the connecting piece between the treatment planning system and the LAP laser system. CARINAnav transmits the exact spatial coordinates to the movable lasers, which projects the laser lines onto the patient with precision. CARINAnav was developed for use via touchscreen and can be operated either flexibly at the patient with a tablet PC or via a desktop PC from the control room. Depending on the workflow and process step, it is necessary to define coordinates based on the patient's anatomy or to project defined coordinates from the treatment planning. For this reason, coordinates can be entered in 3 different ways: Manual control, position input or data import. There are 3 data interfaces available for data import: DICOM Standard or LAP file format are available for transmitting coordinates. Customers using the SIEMENS syngo.via RT Image Suite have the option of controlling the lasers directly from the imaging software.
