Designed by Todd Begg Todd Begg is an award-winning knife maker and designer whose career has spanned more than 40 years in the knife industry. He has been on the leading edge of tactical knife design for decades and is a Knifemakers' Guild member and former president of the Knifemakers' Guild. Designed from Experience Todd spent 11 years in the U.S. Army as an NBC Reconnaissance specialist and used tactical knives in the field on a daily basis, which inspired him to create knives that are functional, unique, and aesthetically pleasing. He credits Bob Loveless’s book, "How To Make Knives", as the spark that lit the fire. CRYO S35VN Steel S35VN is an advanced steel, with vanadium and niobium carbides that offers exceptional toughness, excellent wear resistance, and high edge retention. It's ideal for heavy-duty tasks, providing durability in demanding conditions and maintaining performance even under stress. Ours is cryogenically treated after the first heat treatment which further improves the performance of the blade.
