Our navy Museum T-shirt presents an illuminated silhouette of the former Texas School Book Depository building as it appears today, now known as the Dallas County Administration Building. Constructed in 1901, the structure was home to a plow company and grocery wholesaler before the textbook distribution firm, the Texas School Book Depository Company, occupied the 411 Elm Street warehouse in 1963. While the building today looks much as it did more than half a century ago, a few architectural details have changed. Most notably, the fire escape and decorative concrete screens covering the ground-floor windows have been removed, and the iconic Hertz Rent-a-Car billboard atop the building at the time of the assassination was removed in May 1979. This attractive T-shirt highlights the front façade in a deep orange, reflecting the distinctive color of the Depository bricks Adult Unisex shirt in sizes S-XXL is 100% cotton and made in Honduras by District
