⚠️ Important Notice: This is NOT a turnkey solution. The Motherboard with BQ35LORA900V1M RF Daughterboard for Station G3 consists of only the Motherboard and RF daughterboard (BQ35LORA900V1M). It does not include an MCU daughterboard. To form a complete Mesh node, you must provide your own compatible MCU daughterboard. This module is intended for experienced developers who wish to build custom Linux-based Mesh nodes or integrate the RF subsystem into their own designs. ⚠️ Important: Linux Development & Support Policy These advanced features are intended for experienced users and do not include official support coverage. While we cannot provide direct assistance, relevant communities often share useful information: Our official Discord for hardware-related topics: https://discord.gg/r9nEtXN6uB Meshtastic: https://discord.gg/meshtastic Meshcore: https://meshcore.gg/ We strongly advise users to carefully consider this kit before purchasing. We recommend that only users with prior experience using the turnkey solution Station G3-ESP32S3-BQ35LORA900V1M and deploying Linux-based Mesh nodes choose this kit. Without the official MCU daughterboard (BQESP32V1M), we are virtually unable to provide any hardware-related technical support, because the official MCU daughterboard (BQESP32V1M) is required to perform hardware troubleshooting. Modular RF Module for Fixed-Location & Vehicle-Mounted Base Stations Engineered for Engineers and Hams The BQ Station G3 RF Module provides a high-performance, modular LoRa radio platform that separates the RF front-end from the MCU layer. By offering only the Motherboard and RF daughterboard as an independent product, we enable developers to choose their own processing unit—whether it’s our official MCU daughterboard or a third-party Linux-capable board such as the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W. This modular approach extends the lifecycle of RF designs and makes it easier for experienced engineers to integrate Station G3 into custom Mesh node architectures. Key Specifications High-Power TX Performance Adjustable Output Power: Fully configurable to meet regional regulations and link budget requirements. Peak Power Output: Reaches up to 36.8 dBm ±2 dBm (~4.7 W) for US915 and 37 dBm ±2 dBm (~5 W) for EU868 bands. (Some firmware may limit the Peak Power Output; see LoRa Power Amplifier Conduction Test for more info.) Advanced RX LNA Architecture Featuring dynamic gain control, dynamic impedance matching, and an LNA bypass/disable function. Empowers the BQ35LORA900V1M RF daughterboard to achieve superior compatibility with high-gain monopole antennas in high-noise environments—outperforming Station G2 in co-channel interference mitigation and dynamic range. Typical RF Performance Item Description LoRa Operation Frequency 815 MHz to 940 MHz LoRa Max RF Output Power RF daughterboard BQ35LORA900V1M: Up to 35 dBm (Max RF Output Power for Non-Boost Mode) PA Operating Mode 4 Configurable Power Levels LoRa Ultra-Low Noise Figure LNA Typical Gain: 10 dB – 16 dB Dynamic Gain, Typical Noise Figure: 1.5 dB LNA Operating Mode ON/OFF with Dynamic Gain & Impedance Matching LoRa Transceiver SX1262 High-Precision Frequency Reference for LoRa 32 MHz TCXO (±1.5 ppm) Compatible MCU Daughterboards The Motherboard features an MCU daughterboard socket compatible with the standard Raspberry Pi 40-pin GPIO header definition. The following MCU daughterboards are currently supported: MCU Daughterboard Description BQESP32V1M (Official) Built using ESP32 S3 (Flash: 16 MB, PSRAM: 8 MB) with a 1.3-inch OLED screen. Fully compatible with Station G2 firmware at the software level. Raspberry Pi Zero 2W (Third-Party) Linux-capable board for building custom Linux Mesh nodes. Requires user-provided setup and configuration. Use Cases Due to the excellent LoRa transmission/reception performance of Station G3, this RF Module is suitable for building backbone mesh networks in regional Mesh communities. Featuring an Advanced RX LNA Architecture with dynamic gain control, dynamic impedance matching, and an LNA bypass/disable function, the BQ35LORA900V1M RF daughterboard empowers the system to achieve superior compatibility with high-gain monopole antennas in high-noise environments. It decisively outperforms Station G2 in both co-channel interference mitigation and dynamic range, allowing the Mesh network to capture even weaker signals from low-power nodes, ultimately ensuring broader coverage and rock-solid network stability. Typical scenarios include: Fixed-Location Base Stations Vehicle-Mounted Base Stations Linux Development Nodes (for experienced users) Amateur Radio Notice This device operates in the 33 cm amateur band (US915 MHz) and can transmit above 1 W. Use above this level requires operation under an FCC Amateur Radio license (Part 97) and compliance with all applicable technical limits. Users in other countries must follow their own national regulations.
