The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/5000/220-50 is a combined inverter and battery charger designed for 12V battery systems requiring up to 5000VA of continuous AC output at 230V. It is suited to off-grid installations, marine and vehicle applications, and backup power systems where a single, integrated unit is preferred over separate components. Key Features 5000VA continuous inverter output at 230V AC from a 12V DC battery bank. 220A battery charger built in, allowing fast recharge from a generator or shore power. 50A AC transfer switch with near-instant switchover, maintaining supply to connected loads during a mains or generator failure. PowerControl function limits the total current drawn from a shore power or generator supply, preventing overload of the AC source. PowerAssist function supplements the AC input with inverter power when load demand exceeds the available input current. Two AC outputs: AC-Out-1 remains live during a power cut; AC-Out-2 is disconnected when the unit runs on battery, allowing non-essential loads to be shed automatically. Compatible with Victron VE.Bus for system integration, remote monitoring and configuration via VictronConnect or Venus OS devices. Supports parallel and three-phase operation when multiple units are used together.
