Our DIY Bioethanol Firebox Insert offers complete flexibility and is the perfect solution for replacing an old electric fireplace, a redundant gas fire opening, or a fake chimney. Create your dream fireplace quickly and easily by combining it with the mantelpiece of your choice. This is a larger version of our popular DIY Bioethanol Firebox Insert. This classic built-in fireplace does not require a flue or chimney connection. Simply build a suitable timber frame and install the firebox within it. As the fireplace generates heat during operation, the surrounding structure should be finished using heat-resistant, preferably non-combustible, materials. The DIY Bioethanol Firebox Insert is fitted with our 1.3L Small Burner and comes complete with a specially designed 18-piece Cone & Log Set, creating an attractive and realistic flame display. The firebox features an integrated rear heat shield, providing excellent protection for the wall behind. Moreover, the lid includes Fragrance Diffusers, making the fireplace compatible with our Aura Oils. By sliding the lid across slightly, you can regulate the size of flame, therefore the heat output (2-3 kW) and the burning time (3-6 hrs). This unit is suitable for DIY electric fire conversion; however, it produces a real flame so regular fire regulations for building fireplaces will apply.
