A farmer placed one in my hand, its peel smooth and shining in the sun. One bite changed everything. No bitterness. No seeds. Juice lifted instantly, bright and cooling, like shade appearing where there was none. Each note unfolded like the afternoon itself — fresh at first, playful in the middle, then calm and warm as the sun lowered.
