Crawfish Diver

The Crawfish Diver is a weighted crawfish streamer designed to get down quickly, ride hook-point up, and move through rocky structure with fewer snags. Dumbbell eyes turn the fly over while its dense, buggy body and lively rubber legs create the claws, feelers, and defensive profile of a real crawfish. Crawfish are a substantial meal for trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, carp, and other predatory fish. This pattern is built for rocky banks, boulder seams, undercuts, ledges, deep pools, weed edges, and logjams where crawfish live and larger fish hunt. Let the fly reach the bottom, then retrieve it with slow strips, short hops, and pauses. Add an occasional sharp strip to imitate a crawfish darting backward to escape. Choose Brown or Olive for a natural presentation, and use Black in stained water, low light, or deeper pools.
