Inacayal Espumante Brut Vintage
** SPECIAL OFFER LAUNCH PRICE ** The Inacayal Espumante Brut Vintage has been one of the most anticipated arrivals so far this year. The anticipation was up with the likes of the new Chiantis from Terreno. So up there with some pretty lofty wines. The main difference, minus this being a sparkling white obviously, is that this comes in at only a tenner. Not the £49.50 for the top Terreno Chianti. Produced using the Charmat method this wine belies its humble price tag by some way. Crafted from a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc in Lujan de Cuyo and Valle de Uco in Argentina. The average age of the vines is an impressive 32 years and has resulted in some top quality fruit. Has a really delicate, small bubbled, mousse with aromas and flavours of ripe citrus, ripe green apple and a subtle tang of toasted brioche. The Chenin brings a welcome dollop of acidity to the party whilst the Chardonnay rounds everything out with a wonderfully creamy texture, whilst remaining dry. I implore you to try this against similarly priced Proseccos and see which is the winner. My money is on this little gem. Absolutely top quality at a wonderful price point.
