July 24 (3-5 p.m. PST): Kinusaiga Landscape - Virtual Workshop & Kit
This class takes place on Zoom, on Friday, July 24th, from 3 - 5 p.m. PST. Orders for this workshop must be placed by July 6th in order to allow time for material assembly and shipping time prior to our class. Explore the beautiful Japanese fiber art of Kinusaiga (created by Setsu Maeno) in a new way! In this class you'll learn more about the art form, and tips and tricks for how to make your own version of this 6" by 6" landscape. No experience is required and no sewing experience is needed, as this is beginner friendly. This workshop includes: 6" x 6" foam core board, and a smaller piece for practice double sided adhesive sheet (already mounted on your board) paper template a link to your 2 hr. zoom workshop Access to the recording of our workshop for 30 days Items that are NOT included but needed: A 6" x 6" shadow box (I recommend this one from Michael's) A good precision knife (optional add on available) A pair of scissors (optional add on available) A tool for tucking fabric, I prefer to use a seam ripper (optional add on available) Fabric for your landscape, there are 11 pieces in this design (I recommend batiks, or lawn cottons or poplin), I recommend more for options though!
