Sourced in Eastern Europe, this piece would have been traditionally used in rural folk architecture as decorative window screens or interior dividers offering ventilation and privacy. Constructed from scrap pieces of pine, the central diamond grid is crafted from intersecting wooden slats, a classic element of peasant-style folk furniture.
