HELP! In this 90 minute, beginning knitting forensics class, learn how to count stitches and rows, pick up dropped stitches, FROG (rip-it, rip-it) and TINK (that's unknitting) and more. You'll also be given some tips and tricks to avoid mistakes. Come learn how to read your knitting and make it say what you want it to! This is not a learn-to-knit class. When: Sunday, May 31st from 1:30-3:00 pm Teacher: Amy Required Materials (NOT included): A small knitting sample, still on the needles (don't bind off!). For example, cast on 30 stitches and knit in stockinette stitch for 20 rows. Any yarn and needle size is fine, but please choose a color that is not too dark or variegated. You want to be able to see your stitches! Crochet hook (or other hooked fix-it tool) Tapestry needle Scissors Paper & pen for copious notes Optional: A current project with a mistake. Bring it in and we might all learn from it (time permitting)! We offer a 10% discount on all purchases made when you're here for your class. Fine Print: Some knit experience is required for this class; you will not be learning to knit. Classes are offered in person and are limited to a small number of participants. If you choose to cancel, you will receive a refund up to 48 hours prior to the beginning of the class. Refunds will be issued if your class is cancelled due to low enrollment. Ages 14 & up.
