Block Printed Stole | Shoal
Most printed stoles have designs added as an afterthought, but the Shoal stole is different. The fish motif began as a doodle on paper, was refined on graph paper, and then carefully carved into a wooden block. Only after this was it printed onto 120-count ambara charkha handspun, handwoven pure cotton khadi. Each fish is hand-printed on fine ribbed check khadi in Bengaluru using azo-free reactive dyes. Every impression is slightly unique, which only hand printing can achieve. If you have been looking for a printed stole that stands out, the Shoal is worth considering. Size: 36” wide and 86” in length | 90 Cms x 220 Cms Colour: Bainbridge blue and Spanish red. Weight: 100 grams/stole. Care: Handwash in cold water. Use mild/no detergent. Dry in the shade. Note: Two sides of the stole have a finished selvedge, and the other two have raw edges. The yarn is strong and will not unravel when washed. If you prefer a finished edge, you can add tassels, hand hem it at home, or ask a local tailor for help.
