Methyl Ionone Gamma - IFF

Methyl ionone gamma is IFFs trade name α-isomethyl ionone product (yes the ionones are confusingly named). This one is perhaps the most well known and famous for its use in the Grojsman "Hug Me" accord in combination with Hedione, Iso E Super and Galaxolide, which together create a velvety smooth, diffusive and long lasting base note accord. Methyl Ionone Gamma provides a diffusive powdery violet sweetness and is more velvety and mineral than Ionone Alpha and Ionone Beta.
