Crochet FUNdamentals 2: Sunshine Day Hat - Saturdays 11:30 - 1:00, 6/6 and 6/13

Flock EweNiversity at Peninsula Flock Knits Crochet FUNdamentals 2 Sunshine Day Hat Summer is the best time to use raffia yarn! We will be making a fun and breezy hat, perfect for sunny days. This hat can be made in many different sizes, so you can make one for everyone in circle of family and friends. This hat can also be stuffed into your beach bag and carried around to all your destinations. The skills learned in this class can be used to make other kinds of hats as well. SKILLS TAUGHT In this class, you will be learning double crochet, working in the back and front loops of stitches, and half double crochet. We will also discuss crochet tension and gauge. CLASS TIMES 11:30 - 1:00, Saturdays DATES 6/6 and 6/13 CLASS SIZE 5 students (age 16+) maximum. A minimum of 3 students must register and pay for the class in order for the class to be held. FEE $60 for two 90-minutes classes SKILL LEVEL Intermediate beginner; must know how to chain, slip stitch, single crochet, be familar with double crochet and half double crochet, but will be learning in class MATERIALS US size E/3.5 mm crochet hook removable stitch markers tapestry needle for weaving in ends scissors tape measure or ruler Students can purchase crochet hooks from Peninsula Flock Knits HERE. YARN 2 skeins of DMC Eco Vita Raffia yarn (may need 3 if making L or XL size ) (can be purchased HERE) Students should plan to purchase their yarn before the first class PATTERN Copy of class pattern by Mae Dickson is included.
