Surgery-Avoidance Assessment

The Surgery-Avoidance Assessment is a live online movement and scoliosis assessment designed to help teenagers, adults and parents understand the person’s presentation beyond an X-ray alone. The session considers available X-ray context together with posture, movement, visible spinal rotation, rib prominence, muscular imbalance, compensations, symptoms and relevant training history. X-rays provide important structural information, but they do not show every aspect of how a person moves, loads the body or presents muscular imbalance and rib prominence. The assessment provides fitness-based education and personalized direction for possible next steps. It is not a diagnosis, medical consultation or guarantee that surgery will be avoided. SpineX does not replace orthopedic, radiology, physiotherapy or other qualified medical care. Format: live video call, about 30–45 minutes. A parent or guardian must take part for clients under 18.
