The Macallan Terra 70cl Whisky

Part of the Quest Collection from Macallan, released for the travel retail market in 2017, Terra is an expression that places oak at the centre of its story. Crafted using first fill sherry seasoned casks made from both European and American oak, it highlights the influence of carefully sourced wood from respected family cooperages. This whisky reflects Macallan’s ongoing focus on cask selection, drawing out depth and character from its maturation to create a rich and approachable dram with a strong sense of identity. Tasting Notes Aroma Bright orange leads the way, followed by soft, buttery brioche. Layers of coffee, sultanas and a nutty loaf character add warmth and richness. Taste Smooth and rounded, with flowing notes of melted chocolate and dried apricot. Sweet touches of toffee and a hint of strawberry jam bring a gentle fruitiness. Finish Warming and gently spiced, with baking spices and dry oak gradually emerging to close.
