Son and grandson of artists, Giovanni Simeone was born in 1968. After studying photography in Milan, he began his career collaborating with Bell’Italia from its very first issue. In the early nineties, he moved to Germany, where he worked for a photographic agency and embarked on a three-year journey around the world. Settling in Paris, he began an exclusive collaboration with Le Figaro, for which he produced over fifty reports. In parallel, during frequent returns to Italy, he founded Simephoto, an agency specializing in travel and landscape photography. Over thirty years since its founding, Simephoto brings together about fifty of the leading European photographers and is recognized as a benchmark in the sector. The agency's portfolio includes international clients such as National Geographic Traveler, Le Figaro, Outside, Geo Germany, Stern, la Repubblica, The Sunday Times, and The Guardian, as well as publishing houses such as Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, and Fodor’s. In 2011, he founded Simebooks, a publishing house that places photography at the center of every editorial project.
