Open the Wiring Sleeve Remove the spiral protective sleeve or electrical tape under the handlebar until the throttle connector is visible. Be careful not to cut the wire insulation. 2. Disconnect the Throttle Trace the cable from the throttle to its connector. Hold both sides of the plug and pull it apart in a straight line. Press the locking tab first if the connector uses one. Do not pull directly on the wires. 3. Remove the Old Throttle Loosen the throttle clamp screw with an Allen key. Slide the old throttle off the handlebar. If nearby components block removal, loosen and move them slightly first. Throttle Installation 1. Compare the New Part Before installation, compare the new throttle with the original part. Check the connector, pin arrangement, cable length, clamp size, and cable direction. Do not continue if the electrical connector is different. 2. Install the New Throttle Slide the replacement throttle onto the handlebar. Adjust the angle so your thumb can press the throttle comfortably without interfering with the brake lever or grip. Tighten the clamp screw after the position is correct. 3. Connect the Wiring Route the throttle cable alongside the original handlebar wiring. Align the waterproof connector correctly and push it straight into the matching plug. Make sure the connection is fully seated. Use cable ties to hold loose wiring in place, but do not overtighten them. Function Test Raise the drive wheel off the ground before testing. Turn the scooter on and confirm that no new error code appears. Press the throttle slowly and check that the motor responds normally. Release the throttle and confirm that it returns freely to the original position. Apply the brake while operating the throttle to confirm that motor power cuts correctly.
