Turn the gear-shaped adjustment piece along the threaded rod. Watch the two ceramic grinder pieces move closer together or farther apart. Turn clockwise for a finer grind. Turn counterclockwise for a coarser grind. Replace the round piece, handle, and top nut before grinding. Cleaning Instructions: To clean the ceramic grinder, simply grind a small amount of uncooked white rice. The rice helps remove coffee oils and leftover particles while keeping the grinding mechanism in excellent condition.
