The gearing is the clearest sign: an 11–42T ten-speed cassette against a 34T chainring gives you a range wide enough to climb and still hold a pace on the flat, where the Excelerator's internal hub is built for simplicity instead. The geometry follows. A 60" wheelbase and just 1° of camber keep the cycle long, low and efficient rather than nimble, and the 26" front wheel carries speed better than the Excelerator's 24". Braking moves to a front disc on a wide fork, which is what you want when a long cycle is carrying real speed downhill. It also comes with a drafting bumper as standard — the detail that says this is a cycle intended to be ridden in a group, not just around a park.
