The Kennametal SLVE-AP 50 mm is a long venturi blast nozzle with a wear-resistant silicon carbide liner. The nozzle is fully encased in polyurethane and features a 50 mm polyurethane thread. This makes it the most economical version in the SLVE range with a 50 mm thread. The long venturi profile accelerates the abrasive evenly and distributes it across the entire blast pattern. Compared with a straight bore nozzle, this can provide up to 40% higher production rates and more efficient use of compressed air and abrasive. The SLVE-AP is designed for use with a blast hose with an internal diameter of 25 mm (1"). The silicon carbide liner combines high wear resistance with a relatively low weight, making the nozzle suitable for a wide range of professional blasting applications. Silicon carbide is, however, more susceptible to impact and drop damage than tungsten carbide. Careful handling and transport are therefore recommended.
