Vintage Atlanta "Freaknic" T-Shirt
Started in the early 80s by students at several HBCU's in the Atlanta area, the annual spring break Freaknik grew in size and notoriety until 1999, when pressure from city officials shut the Freaknik down for good. The New York Times characterized the Freaknik as "a Black Woodstock." Some truly one of a kind shirts came out of these festivals, including this undated one from the early 90s.
