Maiʻahuawaena Button Up Aloha Shirt- Herb

This button up aloha shirt features our Maiʻahuawaena print on Herb material with Pepper and Lighthouse ink. Maiʻahuawaena At Kahanu gardens, I studied this strange banana plant. The fruit was normal, hanging outside of its stalk. But the name Maiʻa Hāpai derives from the fruit sometimes developing inside the stalk. This would require a C-section to get the fruit! I've read accounts that the bananas come out sparkling and ready to eat. Will have to revisit the gardens in hope that get to see the Maiʻa Hāpai inside! Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawai‘i, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Button Up is an open front, tapered shirt with a full length placket. Coconut buttons are featured on the stand-up, button-down collar and on the front placket. Tuck it in or leave it out over the trousers for a more casual look. Either way, it's the perfect touch of crisp aloha!
