Acoustics in Open Spaces

Large open internal spaces such as Shopping Centres, Multi Purpose Halls, Convention Centre Entrance Foyers and the like are complex areas to combat noise due to hard and reflective surfaces used in these environments with an expanse of space. Disruptive noise from surrounding activity sources including human voice and movement, air-conditioning, doors and other automatic services, outside sources of noise combined in the space all contribute to compound the level of noise.
