Pre-Shrunk Calico - Cotton

Calico is a plain-woven fabric made from unbleached cotton, still containing cotton seeds. It has a myriad of uses in dressmaking, craft & furnishing. Calico is traditionally used to make a toile (First attempt) at a garment to you can check the fit. This fabric is pre-shrunk meaning it is a little softer to touch than standard calico too. Composition: 100% Cotton approx. 150cm wide 154gsm - light/ medium weight - very little drape Cutting: Our dressmaking fabrics are priced/sold in 25cm units. Therefore if you wish to purchase 1m, then add 4 units to your cart. Product will be cut as one continuous piece. Wash & Care Guide Calico should be washed at 30 degrees. Loomstate fabric will shrink by around 10% on first wash and a further 3% thereafter. Cool tumble dry. We strongly recommend testing a small piece first to be sure. It's worth noting: While every care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the colours depicted in our images, please be aware that due to monitor resolution, lighting, photo processing software and other factors it is almost impossible to represent colour to 100% accuracy.
