An impressive original German First World War H.Z.14 (Haubitz-Zünder 14) percussion artillery fuze, manufactured in 1915. Introduced during 1914, the H.Z.14 was a German percussion fuze associated particularly with field howitzer ammunition and was subsequently employed with a number of German artillery systems during WWI. This example retains particularly clear markings: H.Z.14 R.M.15 with additional “95” and inspection/manufacturing marks visible on the body. The fuze has an attractive exposed brass/copper-alloy finish and shows considerable genuine age and service/recovery wear. The lower threaded section has significant historic damage and deformation, all clearly shown in the photographs. A substantial and highly displayable piece of original Imperial German WWI artillery ordnance, now over 110 years old. Condition: Original used/recovered condition with scratches, knocks, surface wear and considerable damage to the lower threaded section. Please study photographs carefully. Completely inert and empty. No explosive or hazardous contents. Sold solely as a historical collector's/display item.
