Urpo Kajander Ring

14k Gold Ring by Urpo Kajander for Kaunis Koru This exceptional solid 14K gold ring showcases Urpo Kajander’s distinctive sculptural Modernist aesthetic, with bold overlapping curves creating a fluid, beautifully dimensional form. Its polished gold surfaces and openwork construction capture the essence of Finnish Modernist jewellery, where sculptural form, striking geometry and considered simplicity take centre stage. Originally designed by Kajander for the renowned jewellery house Kaunis Koru in the 1970s, this rare example was produced in 1997, representing a later production of one of his celebrated Modernist designs. The ring is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks 'UJK (designer), crown motif (Finland), '585' (14k gold), 'U8' (year) & 'KK' (maker). It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age). The band retains its original shape. This ring is a medium size. It is an AU size N (EU 53.8 & US 6.75) with a 17.1mm internal diameter. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size. The band can be resized.
