Papyrus Dome Wall Lamp

Hand-wrapped in the same banana paper fibre as the rest of the Papyrus family, the Dome Wall Lamp takes a wider, lower form than its siblings — flattened and generous rather than tapered, closer to a mushroom cap than a pod. The fibre is worked in fine, tightly packed pleats that radiate outward from the crown, catching the light so the surface reads almost bleached at the top and warms gradually towards the base. Mounted flush against the wall, it sits low and full, with none of the vertical pull of the Cocoon — a piece that reads as settled and substantial rather than upright. Its width suits a wider stretch of wall — either side of a headboard, along a hallway with generous run, or above a console in an entryway where its low profile keeps sightlines clear. In hospitality settings, a pair either side of a reception desk or along a lounge wall gives soft, low light without drawing attention to the fixture itself. Pair it with pale limewash, plaster, or washed timber, and keep neighbouring metalwork in brushed brass or matt black, so the fibre's radiating texture stays the focal point rather than competing with a busy backdrop.
