USED 1966 Hofner 500/1 Violin Bass Sunburst

This Vintage 1966 Hofner 500/1 violin bass nicknamed the Beatle Bass is in amazing condition for its age. It was designed to be a light weight short scale alternative to the upright bass that Paul McCartney fell in love with back in 1961. This bass is almost 100% original. The nut has had a minor repair to it on the low E side where it chipped off. One of the volume knobs was missing the gold cap, which they are famous for falling out and being lost. We found another reproduction knob, took the gold cap off of it, and replaced it onto the original knob. The bass comes with it's original hard case included!!!! BUT the handle has broken off, and is in the case. This is a VERY COOL Bass!!!!!!!
