Do you feel you should do something with your trees but are nervous about doing something wrong? Maybe you are just curious and want to learn some new skills? Join us at the Cidery for a hands-on pruning course on Saturday 6th Feb 2027 running from 1000-1400 led by our very own Bignose (Phil). Phil will cover: Why we prune our trees for health and productivity How to use different tools and techniques Different approaches for spur and tip fruiting varieties How to plan your pruning for each tree How to manage sequential pruning over several years We'll practice the techniques on our trees under Phil's watchful eye so you are confident to work on your own trees when you go home. Tea, coffee, cake and lunch are included. Plus we'll do a cheeky cider tasting at the end too. Dress for the weather, it could be cold and wet. We can supply gloves and tools and you are welcome to bring your own.
