A Tiffany Studios New York "Snowball Hydrangea" leaded glass domed shade with an irregular border. The shade is comprised of an abundance of white hued blossoms amidst mottled green leaves with a blue sky peering through the branches, sits atop a "Scroll" Senior patinated bronze floor base. The Hydrangea shade represents a major breakthrough for Tiffany Studios. For the first time, Tiffany allowed the contour of the plant to determine the actual shape of the shade. A light camouflaged by flowers now became flowers brought to life through light. The shade adorns a finial cap.
