Elephant Ear Staghorn Fern (Platycerium elephantotis)

Unlike other staghorn fern species, the elephant ear staghorn's fronds don't fork. Instead, they stay in one uniform piece, with smooth edges and rounded ends. The fronds really do look like elephant ears! The key to this staghorn fern is to keep the substrate, whether mounted or grown in a pot, evenly moist. Ferns are pet safe, so no worries here! While these ferns would thrive in tropical reptile enclosures, they will often outgrow them quickly. Plants will ship bare root and are suitable for a 6 inch pot.
