Teddy Bear's Picnic

Join Mr Bear and make a range of delicious picnic foods with your KS1 class. You'll learn about different types of foods and have the chance to explore a variety of picnic foods. Your Year 1 or Year 2 class will design, create and evaluate their own picnic snacks from rainbow omelette cakes to delicious and nutritious kebabs! This practical KS1 DT scheme of work provides detailed lesson plans, engaging slides (including letters from Teddy asking children to help him out with a variety of picnic problems!), differentiated activities and a whole host of other helpful resources. Lesson 1 Farmed, Caught and Grown The first lesson in this series helps you children to learn all about a variety of picnic foods, discovering where foods came from and whether they were farmed, caught or grown. The lesson opens with your class receiving a letter from Mr Bear. Then they can either make a healthy rainbow omelette cake or a rainbow pitta pocket.
