This is a limited edition of 30. Once 30 prints are sold, it will be retired. Inspiration: This painting tells the story of how my style came to be. My style was born almost by accident. As I painted, I started noticing shapes hiding inside my brushstrokes. A curve would become an arch, a patch of color would turn into a window, and suddenly there were all these little forms waiting for me to find them. So I started outlining what I saw with Posca pens, almost like tracing something that had been there all along. The Shape of Joy comes from that process. I love the idea that joy can work the same way. Sometimes it isn’t something we create or go looking for. It’s already there in small, unexpected places, waiting for us to notice its shape.
