Come Celebrate With Us! Celebrate your birthday with a creative sewing or craft party at Hipstitch! Whether your guests are interested in MACHINE sewing, HAND sewing, or CRAFTS, our experienced instructors will guide them through a fun, hands-on project from start to finish. All guests must be 6+ years to use the sewing machine. Guests must be 5+ years for hand sewing/crafts. Having hosted birthday parties for years, the staff at Hipstitch are organized, professional, and prepared, allowing you to relax and focus on the fun happening all around you! For Machine Sewing Parties For Craft/Hand Sewing Parties All guests must be 6+ years old. All guests must be 5+ years old. No sewing experience required Guests receive a brief lesson on the sewing machines before beginning their project Beginner parties create a personalized pillow Guests with previous sewing experience may choose a tote bag No sewing experience required Guests receive step-by-step instruction throughout their project Projects include embroidery, weaving, hand sewing Projects are selected during the booking process Our Newton studio can accommodate up to 20 participating guests. Parties are 1½ hours long. Hosts are welcome to arrive up to 15 minutes before the party for setup and have 15 minutes afterward for cleanup. To ensure each party begins on time, additional time beyond the allotted setup and cleanup window may incur an additional fee. Weekend parties are available to book online. Party Packages Package 1 Up to ≤10 participating guests Package 2 11–15 participating guests Personalize Your Party Guests can personalize their sewing projects with an initial or one of our standard appliqué designs. Looking for something unique? We can create a custom themed appliqué with advance notice for an additional $50. Please note that custom appliqué designs replace the option to add initials. Party Timeline To ensure everyone has plenty of time to complete their project, the party follows a simple schedule: Arrival & Welcome Hosts are welcome to arrive up to 15 minutes before the party for setup. Parent Drop-Off Hipstitch birthday parties are designed as drop-off parties. To provide the best experience for all participants and maintain a comfortable studio environment, we ask that only the host family remain during the party. Parents and guardians of other guests are welcome to return for pickup at the scheduled end time. Project Instruction & Creation Our instructors will guide guests through their chosen sewing or craft project from start to finish. Food, Cake & Presents (Final 15–20 Minutes) Food, cake, and presents are enjoyed during the final 15–20 minutes of the party, giving guests plenty of time to complete their projects. Food & Celebration Families are welcome to bring cake, pizza, snacks, and drinks to enjoy during the celebration. To give guests the maximum amount of time to complete their projects, food, cake, and presents take place during the final 15–20 minutes of the party. Please note that Hipstitch does not provide plates, cups, utensils, napkins, tablecloths, or party decorations. We encourage families to bring any serving supplies and decorations they would like for the celebration. Don't have time to get party favors? We have ready-made kits of tried and true Hipstitch favorites! They include all materials and instructions needed for your guests to get crafty at home.
