Paper Collage Workshop| September 5, 2026

Looking for a project that's equal parts colourful and creative? Curious about texture, composition, and making something by hand? Join us for a collage workshop led by Porchlight's team member, Nolan. In this beginner-friendly class, you'll create your own custom collage piece using a curated mix of patterned papers, ephemera, and found imagery. Part of the session will be guided, drawing on creative techniques inspired by cartoonist and author Lynda Barry, known for her playful, intuitive approach to image-making and creative flow. Whether you're working with your own materials or ours, you'll have a thoughtfully curated selection of papers and imagery to design something that's uniquely yours. No experience needed — just a little curiosity and a love of making. You'll explore colour and composition, experiment with layering and texture, and leave with a finished piece that's as fun to make as it is to display.
