Chonky Crochet Cowl Workshop: Learn to Crochet!
Has it been years since you have picked up a crochet hook? Do you want to learn a new craft that is both relaxing and engaging? Take this workshop as a refresher class or to learn to crochet for the first time! We carefully build on skills so you will come away with a cozy cowl, and all the crochet basics you need to tackle your next projects. Dates: (this is a two part class!) Thursday, September 24th AND Thursday, October 1st Time: 6:30-8p Location: Connected Stitches Yarn & Fiber Shop (10 W Main St Dryden, NY 13053) Teacher: Chris Cushman Cost: $80 Max Number of Participants: 8 Skill Level: Beginner Description: In this class, you'll learn all the basics of crocket. This is a great class for an absolute beginner or someone who wants a refresh and to build on their skills. At the end of this class you’ll have learned all the skills that you need to finish this cozy, chunky cowl. Prerequisites: none. Techniques you will learn: making a slip knot, using a crochet hook to make a chain, single crochet stitch, ribbed single crochet stitch, reading a basic pattern, weaving in ends to finish your project What's Included: Printed copy of the pattern 10% discount on supplies in store What You Need: One Skein Malabrigo Rasta yarn (100% wool, super bulky, 150g/90 yards) or a similar weight bulky yarn Size 12-15mm crochet hook *all students will receive a 10% discount on supplies at Connected Stitches.
