Borrowing its name from the word for sun in Spanish—with a twist—S(O)L aims to investigate and reframe the rituals of daily life, exploring how routine can provide both comfort and confinement. This debut edition, themed ‘Breakfast’, brings together a variety of morning-appropriate recipes, such as Peruvian tortillas, a Ratatouille-esque South African dish known as Chakalaka, coiled boerewors sausage, Chinese beef bone broth, the Colombian egg dish Pericos, homemade strained yoghurt, and more.
