It should be used after using the #2 fine filter pad. Filter Pad Type: #3 Sterile Micron Size: 0.5 Overall Width: 7-7/8in (200mm) Overall Height: 7-7/8in (200mm) Thickness: 3/16in (4.8mm) 1. Filter wine after any fining agents have been used and have fully settled out of the wine. 2. For best results, wine should be filtered after 2 - 3 months of age and after being stored in a cold location. After this time, wine can be filtered starting with the #2 fine filter pad followed by the #3 sterile filter pad after. Wait 2 - 4 days between filtrations. 3. When filtering young wine less than 30 days old, begin filtering with the #1 coarse filter pad, followed by the #2 fine filter pad and then the #3 sterile filter pad (if desired). Wait 2 - 4 days between filtrations. 4. Allow wine to rest for 2 - 4 days after filtration before bottling.
