A finely hand-painted Kashmiri papier-mâché vase of elegant baluster form, richly decorated with stylised floral motifs in vibrant tones of cobalt blue, iron red, pink, and green against a cream ground, framed by bold black banding. The intricate surface decoration reflects the celebrated craftsmanship of Kashmiri artists, whose lacquered papier-mâché wares became renowned for their delicacy, rhythmic ornament, and remarkable painterly detail.
