3.06ct Belle Epoque Pear Cut Diamond Tiara Ring, GIA
A 3.06ct antique pear cut diamond with a gorgeous fancy yellow color, crowned in a platinum-topped 18k yellow gold tiara mounting, circa 1905. This is the Belle Époque doing what it did best — old European cut diamonds bezel-set into scrolling platinum wings, pavé-studded shoulders, and a fleur-de-lis finial anchoring the whole composition. The pear itself is the kind of stone that predates the laser saw — hand-cut, slightly soulful in its outline, with the broad facets and open culet that make antique diamonds glow rather than glitter. Yellow gold prongs were a deliberate period choice, helping enhance the stone's golden body color. The tiara motif was no accident either: at the turn of the century, jewelers borrowed freely from the coronets and aigrettes of European courts, scaling them down for women who wanted a little sovereignty of their own. An antique fancy yellow pear diamond ring in this condition, with its original platinum-over-gold construction intact, is a genuinely rare find for us! 18kt Yellow Gold Size 6 & resizable GIA FB-GY I1 GIA Report #1232960548 Diamond Measures: 11.34 x 8.19 x 4.93 mm
