Gold Star GF-85 Resonator Banjo c. 1986 Japan

We are offering one of the original Saga-made Gold Star Banjos made in Japan back when Saga was first making its reputation as a banjo maker of note. The quality, materials and weight of this instrument all speak to their efforts to recreate the feel and tone of the iconic American flat-top banjo counterparts. This banjo is in very good playing condition, with a straight neck and low comfortable action and with just extremely minor tarnish of metal parts and a small amount of finish wear on the lower heel, probably from a strap. The Mahogany resonator remains beautiful on both the sides and back. Comes with a hard shell case also in very good condition.
