Inspired by the striking contrast of echinacea’s purple petals and rich orange center, this ribbon feels both alive and alluring. Using natural hues, we’ve created a sophisticated expression of this unconventional combination. This unique ribbon is made through a two-step process. First, the base color—teetering between wine and mauve—is created using the historical dye Madder Root, with soft marbling throughout to add depth. Then, coreopsis and snow chrysanthemum flowers are carefully placed, rolled into the silk, and steamed, leaving behind a tapestry of abstract botanical markings in shades of russet and burnt amber.
