Aseptic technique is a term used to classify a set of principles which minimise contamination and prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAI) in patients. This technique aims to protect healthcare workers from exposure to body fluids during invasive clinical procedures. It can be applied to several settings, procedures and environments. This course is considered mandatory training for many healthcare workers in all states and territories. Renewal: 1 year (depending on work site policy)
