Selenite Frog by Leland Boone and Daphne Quam
A small semitransparent crystalline selenite frog carved by Leland Boone and Daphne Quam with turquoise dots inlaid to the raised eye sockets. There are two turquoise and two apple coral dots inlaid to the frog's back in the shape of a diamond - representing rain we have been told. The Zuni believe the frog is a reminder that we are all the same - development wise - we begin as tiny fishlike creatures in the womb then we evolve from swimmers to creatures of the land. The frogs sings its song reminding us of our watery beginning. Artist: Leland Boone and Daphne Quam (signed) Size: 7/8 in. wide x 1-3/4 in. long x 7/8 in. tall #64723
