2022 Yeringberg Pinot Noir
Made from MV6 and an old clone from Great Western planted between ’69 and ’74. Bright crimson. With its vibrant bouquet of red fruits, spice, underbrush, earth and rose petals, there’s lots going on here. On the palate, there’s this old vine creaminess complemented by the wine’s balanced, dusty and gently chewy tannins on the long finish. A wine I’d love to see, once it reaches its apogee, some 10 or so years from now. 97 points. Philip Rich, Wine Companion Aug 2024
