Vintage 1980s 14K natural ruby and diamond wrap ring

A chunky ruby and diamond dress ring in a handsome wrap-style mounting. Two channel set rows of step cut square rubies grip a center row of single cut diamonds, with the diamonds slightly off-set so that the stack forms a zig-zag. This ring has the feel of a 1940s tank ring in some ways, especially when viewed from the side. The outline is shaped like a squircle (yes, that's a real word!) with rounded corners and sumptuous proportions. The slim rows of gemstones (eight diamonds and sixteen rubies) are stunning set in 14K yellow gold. A great every day ring!
