CHROMAG BA30 V1 RIM When we designed the BA30 rim, our goal was to create a rim that could handle serious abuse, with impact resistance and lateral stiffness that rival the responsive feel of carbon, but with better vertical compliance and ride feel. We concentrated material in the beadwall area to strengthen the rim where impacts occur, and shaped the outer beadwall with a round profile to reduce tire damage under compression. The BA30 is made from a premium alloy chosen for its balance of strength and impact resistance, and it features an internal bracing structure in the extrusion for added stiffness. A fully welded seam adds strength and ensures a precise, consistent shape—plus, it guarantees 100% airtight performance for tubeless setups. It’s the burliest rim in our lineup for those that ride hard on rough and unforgiving trails.
