Knitting 102: Shaping & Texture (The Scarflette) - May 8 & 15

Price: $70.00 (Materials Included) Duration: 2 Weeks (1 hour per session) Dates: Fridays, May 8 & 15 Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM You’re comfortable with knits and purls and now you’re ready for the next step: shaping! In this simple mini-scarf (or scarflette) course, our patient instructor, Brooke, will teach you 3 increases and 3 decreases that will get you ready to tackle knitting projects that are more than just squares and rectangles. You’ll learn how shaping works in knitting and master the most common stitches: 3 Different Increases: Kfb, M1R, and M1L 3 Different Decreases: K2tog, SSK, and SKPSSO You’ll leave with a soft, fashionable scarf to add to your spring and fall wardrobe and the skills to move beyond basic rectangles. Prerequisite Skills: This class is a follow-up to our Knitting 101 class. Students should be comfortable with casting on, casting off, and switching between knit and purl stitches.
